Economic measures extended until 1 October

The economic emergency package will be extended by one month until 1 October. This gives cabinet, employers and employees time to make arrangements that will help our country to get through the crisis in the longer term.

That is what the Cabinet has agreed with the social partners today. It has also been agreed that large redundancy applications should involve trade unions when companies receive the NOW pay settlement scheme. If this does not happen, companies can be cut by 5% on the total amount of subsidy to prevent abuse of the NOW. In addition, there will be a change to the new Fixed Charge Allowance scheme. This allowance goes from a maximum of 20,000 euros to a maximum of 50,000 euros.
